Custom Pet Pendants and Order Info
INFO: Glass animal portraits are made using any or all - soft glass COE 104, glass powders, glass frit, high fire enamels and low fire enamels to achieve the look needed to complete the order. They are approximately 2" long x 1 1/4" wide and 1" thick. Actual size will depend on the breed or species. These are made to slide right onto a chain or cord with the 4 mm bead hole running horizontally below or through the ears. Although these are pendants and wearable art most people would rather display them, I do have plain or engraved display stands that can be added on to your order. My customs list can have an approximate wait time anywhere from 2 weeks up to 3 months depending on the amount of orders on the board before yours. Please inquire to the time. A non-refundable deposit of half the price per pendant up front is required to work on your order. The average range on price is $225 to $250. If final payment has not been made within 30 days, you forfeit the work and your deposit. The only time a deposit is refunded is if I can not complete the work order.
PAYMENT can be made through PayPal, Venmo, CashApp or Zelle. I absolutely do not ship until payment has made it over and cleared. When payment has been made and I've shipped out your package to an address you confirm with me, I will message you with a tracking # and expected delivery date. Please check over your pendant once it arrives and let me know if it makes it okay. Payments are non-refundable on custom orders. If it arrives broken, I will need proof of the damaged piece by photo then the return of the pendant and a repair or replacement will be made. You are responsible for shipping the broken piece back to me, I will pay the shipping and tracking on the replaced piece back to you. I must be notified by email or messenger within 48 hours of receiving your package.
REPAIRS Repairs needed due to customer error. If your pendant has had an accident and requires a repair please email or message me to discuss what or if something can be done to fix it. Most ear or nose repairs can be relatively easy to do. There is a charge of $50 for the repair as well as current shipping rates back to you. If it has broken in half unfortunately it is beyond repair but please email or message me to discuss replacing the pendant at a discounted price of current retail value if the replacement is being made within 6 months of paying your final balance payment of your initial order. - Please note, with glass not every small repair may go smoothly and the piece may be lost entirely. If this happens we can discuss having a new piece made if the attempted repair was made within 6 months of paying your final balance payment of your initial order for a discounted price of the current retail value.
These pendants are time consuming to create with an average flame working time of 4 hours each and I try very hard to get these right the first time. I appreciate your patience. Please keep in mind, I can not duplicate your pet. I do my very best to create a likeness as close as possible to the photos you send to me but I can only create what I can see. This brings to me what I need from you.
PHOTOS: I need good quality clear photos to work from. Photos I need should be fairly close up, level and straight on views of your pet from the chest up. I need the front view and both left and right profile views also as level as possible. If there are markings on the back of the head I will need a photo showing that as well. Please be sure not to crop out ears or noses. If there is color under the jowls/muzzle I need to see or know that. Photos that are in natural indirect lighting will give me the truest color possible to work from. Please understand that not every color out there is available in glass and it's a struggle to color match as close as possible. There are times I simply can not but will in my best judgment make a color decision that will work suitably. PLACING AN ORDER: I consider your order placed once I have the necessary photos and deposit. When I have those I place them in a folder with your name and date your order was taken. I work these custom orders in the dates taken so I can keep track and not keep you or others waiting longer than necessary.
MEMORIALS: Memorial pendants are those pendants made with the cremains of our pets that have passed on. If you would like this service I will discuss with you on how to package and ship cremains to me. I do not ever charge more for adding cremains into a pet portrait pendant.
SIDE NOTE: The sooner I have photos from you of your pet, it will allow me more time to study his or her form to create a better image in glass. It also allows me to figure out workable colors so that I can get your pendant made when the time comes and home to you in a reasonable timely manner. After initial contact and photos, feel free to send at any time any other photos you may have. If you have any stories you'd like to share with me of your pups personality, quirks, funny traits or even how they came into your life I would be more than thrilled to listen to them. Knowing your pet's name and personality helps me to put life to him or her in glass.
